YORK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KABC) -- A Pennsylvania fire chief is being hailed a hero after he pulled a man from a burning car. The chief's heroic actions were caught on dash-cam video.

York Township Fire Department Chief Nate Tracey was first to arrive at the scene of the incident. And as shown in the video, he took immediate action.

Witness Gary Gregory watched Tracey drag the unconscious man from the burning car.

"It was burning right under the gas tank. It could have blown up anytime. It was his job, but he is a hero as far as I am concerned," said Gregory, who watched the entire incident unfold from his front yard.

The driver was hospitalized after the accident, but his condition was unknown.
