Weapons stolen during burglary of Harbor City home; 2 sought
Two suspects stole multiple weapons from a home in Harbor City last month, and Los Angeles police are now searching for two persons of interest in connection to the case.

HARBOR CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are searching for two suspects who broke into a home in Harbor City and made off with several guns, including two assault rifles.

The burglary occurred on Aug. 20 at about 11:45 a.m.

Two men were caught on surveillance video buying merchandise at a Target store in Inglewood with gift cards stolen from the home. Detectives are concerned about the number of weapons the suspects fled the home with and hope surveillance video will lead them to the culprits.

"There were seven weapons total, two assault rifles and two shotguns as well as three handguns," said Officer Brian Frieson of the Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Division.

The victims were not home at the time of the burglary, but neighbors saw the burglars and alerted police.

For now, the two men caught on surveillance video at Target are being considered persons of interest. They were seen leaving the Target in a light blue, older-model sedan.

"Our biggest concern is public safety and with that amount of weapons out there in the wrong hands, someone can be seriously injured or worse," Frieson said, adding that the weapons were legally owned.

Anyone with additional information on this investigation was urged to contact the LAPD's Harbor Division.
