Woman killed in Santa Ana hit and run

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Santa Ana during the early morning hours Wednesday, according to officials.

Santa Ana police said the fatal crash happened at Bristol Street and Warner Avenue at about 12:10 a.m.

Authorities stated the female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The woman was rushed to the hospital where she died.

Bristol Street was closed from Central Street to Warner Avenue while investigators gathered evidence.

Detectives said no suspect information was available.
