ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- Police arrested a man in connection with the murder of an Ontario mother of two as he tried to re-enter the country on a flight from Mexico.

Tomas Sarinana was arrested Friday at Los Angeles International Airport.

Sarinana is accused of killing Sally Mityas. The 33-year-old mother of three young children vanished in September after an argument over money with Sarinana, her boyfriend's brother. Her body was later discovered in a field near a homeless camp in Pomona.

Ontario police said Sarinana was considered a "person of interest" after Mityas disappeared, but he fled the country before her body was found.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has filed charges against Sarinana for Mityas' murder, according to Ontario police.

Ontario police said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to call Det. Josh Burks at (909)395-2912 or call an anonymous tip to 800)78-CRIME or online at wetip.com.
