MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (KABC) -- Firefighters responded to an out-of-the-ordinary rescue call Saturday and helped a 3-year-old who had his legs stuck inside a swimming pool drain.
The drain had two holes large enough for the boy's legs to slide through, and Orange County Fire Authority officials want parents to watch their kids near the pool.
Firefighters want adults to make sure young children never swim alone and never take their eyes off the child in the pool. Parents should warn children to stay away from pool equipment, such as drains, that could pose a hazard.
