Arsonist sought after cars set on fire in Panorama City

PANORAMA CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A search is underway for an arsonist who set several cars on fire in Panorama City.

Police received a call about cars on fire in the 9200 block of Cedros Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

By the time investigators arrived on scene, the man had taken off but reportedly left a gas can behind.

It's unclear how much damage the fires caused, but at least three cars were burned.

There was no word on a motive. A suspect description was not immediately available.
