Mouse attempts to catch ride on car of NorCal sheriff's deputy

ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. -- Say cheese! A Northern California sheriff's deputy snapped a photo of an adorable mouse hanging out on the windshield of his parked car.

Deputy Brandon Dennington with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office took the picture of the furry stowaway.

In the photo, the little guy actually looked like he was bracing for the upcoming ride.

The sheriff's department posted the photo to Twitter, reassuring people that the mouse "is safely on the ground and looking for a new ride."
