Snow leopard cubs debut at Los Angeles Zoo

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two endangered snow leopard cubs born at the Los Angeles Zoo made their adorable debut Tuesday.

The brother and sister cubs are now four months old.

They are the first offspring for Georgina and Fred, who were paired together as part of a "species survival plan."

It's estimated the snow leopard population left in the wild is somewhere between 2,000 and 7,000.

They are found in the mountains of Central Asia and can tolerate extreme temperatures of as high as 104 degrees and as low as 40 degrees below zero.

The siblings spent the first few months out of view, bonding with their mother.

But now at 22 pounds each, they're strong enough for visitors.
