WATCH: Scientist has close encounter with killer whale

A scientist studying killer whales had a very, very close encounter.

She dropped her camera in the water and the whale went right for it, bopping the lens with its nose and opening its mouth to expose a partially eaten fish!

The scientist told "The New Zealand Herald" that she'd never had an experience quite like this before.
