Police looking for owner of tortoise found on El Segundo streets

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (KABC) -- El Segundo police are looking for the owner of a tortoise found wandering the streets Wednesday morning.

Authorities received a call of the reptile slowly walking northbound on Sheldon Street near Maple Avenue. Police picked it up and posted a photo of it on the department's Facebook page.

The tortoise was then taken to the spcaLA South Bay Pet Adoption Center in Hawthorne until its owner can be found. If you are its owner, you may call the shelter at (310) 676-1149.
