PHOENIX (KABC) -- Phoenix police tried to handcuff a woman who told them she did not have a gun -- but she did.

Her bullets narrowly missed, striking an officer.

Their bullets did not miss, hitting her several times.

The 24-year-old woman was critically wounded, but survived her injuries.
