Driver opens fire on vehicle occuped by 3 children, 2 adults in road rage incident in Pomona

POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- A man shot at a vehicle occupied by two adults and three children during a "mutual road rage" incident Sunday evening in Pomona, authorities said.

No one was injured in the shooting, which began at about 7:20 p.m. near Washington and Kingsley avenues, the Pomona Police Department said in a statement.

After the victim followed the suspect to the area of Clark Avenue and Pasadena Street, the gunman exited his blue 2001 Toyota Corolla and "fired two rounds toward the victim's vehicle," the news release said. The shooter fled the scene in his car.

Neither the second vehicle nor its occupants -- a man, a woman and three juveniles -- were struck by gunfire, police said.

The suspect is described as 20-to-25 years old, with a thin build and a mustache. He was wearing a dark blue Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap and a dark-colored shirt.

He was said to be driving a four-door sedan with tinted windows.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Pomona Police Department at 909-620-2085.
