Suspect sought in armed robbery of Arcadia cafe

ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC) -- Police are searching for a suspect who robbed an Arcadia cafe early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a call at around 2:45 a.m. about an armed robbery at Garden Cafe on Baldwin Avenue.

Officials said the suspect was wearing a mask or bandana, a blue or gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans. He was described as a 6-foot tall male between 25 and 35 years old.

Authorities said the suspect was carrying a handgun at the time of the robbery and took an undetermined amount of cash along with a victim's blue backpack. He fled south on Baldwin Avenue on foot, officials said.

No injuries were reported.
