Here are some ways to help those affected by the mass shooting in San Bernardino:

Donate blood

In the wake of the shootings, officials made a plea for blood donations. The need is not over. LifeStream blood bank, which is based in San Bernardino, reminds the public that a continuous blood supply is crucial. You can schedule a blood donation in the next two weeks through LifeStream, or by contacting a hospital near you. The greatest need is for O-negative blood.

Arrowhead United Way, a nonprofit, has set up the San Bernardino United Relief Fund to help those affected by the mass shooting. Donations can be made online or by texting "SBUNITED" to 71777. You can also send checks made payable to SBUNITED, Arrowhead United Way, 646 North D. St., San Bernardino, CA 92401.
