San Pedro big rig crash blocks lanes on Vincent Thomas Bridge
All westbound lanes of the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro are shut down early Tuesday due to a big rig crash.

SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- All westbound lanes of the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro are shut down early Tuesday due to a big rig crash.

California Highway Patrol officials said a big rig hit a K-rail and diesel fuel leaked from the truck. The crash happened in the middle of the bridge shortly after 2 a.m.

A SigAlert was issued on State Route 47 at Midspan for at least two hours. All lanes were expected to reopen at about 6 a.m.

The cause of the crash was not known.
