San Pedro home invasion suspect returns to steal victim's car

SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police say a home invasion suspect in San Pedro returned to the scene of the crime to try and steal the victim's car.

The male suspect, who was not armed, made his way into the home near West Sepulveda and North Bandini streets around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, said Los Angeles police.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the home invasion.

The suspect fled the scene and police established a perimeter to search for him. A short time later, officers spotted the man back at the scene of the crime, apparently trying to steal the homeowner's car.

That's when a foot pursuit ensued.

The suspect remains at large.
