SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman was arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing her father and wounding another woman in Santa Fe Springs Tuesday night.

Authorities received reports of a woman who had stabbed two people shortly before 10 p.m. in the 8000 block of Sorenson Avenue.

When police arrived, they found a man and woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. They were taken to the hospital, where the man was pronounced dead and the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim's daughter was arrested as the stabbing suspect. Police said the motive for the slaying was unknown, but the trio had been involved in some sort of argument.

No further details were immediately released. The investigation was ongoing.
