VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE (KABC) -- Did you see a light streak across the sky Saturday night? Don't worry, it was only a rocket launch conducted by Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The launch happened shortly before 11 p.m. The Atlas 5 rocket was carrying a U.S. spy satellite into space.

People in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles and Orange counties reported seeing the rocket fly across the sky, at some points appearing orange as it broke through the atmosphere.

The launch was livestreamed on a website for those who wanted to watch.
