1 shot in South LA; suspect flees scene

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One person was shot in South Los Angeles and police are searching for the male suspect who fled the scene on foot.

At 7:05 p.m., Los Angeles police officers responded to a shooting at 83rd and Main streets and found a male gunshot victim.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
