UPS workers ship 630 million packages during holiday season
Tuesday marked the busiest delivery day for UPS and postal service workers as the holidays draw near and the demand remains high.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Tuesday marked the busiest delivery day for UPS and postal service workers as the holidays draw near and the demand remains high.

Zorick Parsanian owns a UPS store in West Hollywood and said they expect to deliver 36 million packages on Tuesday alone.

"It's a crazy number and we're going to deliver about 630 million packages between Thanksgiving and Christmas," he said.

In addition, UPS had to hire 95,000 seasonal workers to keep up with the public's shipping demand.

"I got everything taken care of thanks to Amazon, Best Buy, Target," said Justin Garcia, an online Christmas shopper. "A lot of free shipping."
