PERRIS, Calif. (KABC) -- The skydiver who was killed after crashing onto the roof of a home in Perris has been identified as a 27-year-old man from Canada, officials said.

According to coroner officials, Aime-Jean St Hilaire-Adam was the victim in the Monday incident, which occurred on the 200 block of Caldera Street.

Firefighter-paramedics arrived to find the skydiver on the tiled roof of the two-story house. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses said a parachute deployed at the last second, possibly the emergency chute, but it was too late.

The skydiver was believed to have taken off from Skydive Perris, which is only a few miles away from the home.

A company representative said they have no comment at this time.
