Smart Car slams into back of dump truck on 405 in Inglewood

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Shocking video shows a Smart Car that was crushed after slamming into the back of a dump truck early Monday morning on the 405 Freeway.

The accident happened around 1 a.m. near the Inglewood exit, authorities said.

The driver of the Smart Car was taken to the hospital with "major injuries," officials said.

There were no reports of injuries to the truck driver, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
