CYPRESS, Calif. (KABC) -- First responders in Cypress held a drive-by funeral to honor a World War II veteran who passed away.

The procession was in front of the home of former electrician's mate shipman James Virgil Pittman.

A long stream of police and fire vehicles passed by the home to pay their respects.

The Cypress Police Department shared a video of the service on their Facebook page over the weekend.

The department said that normally he would receive more honors but it wasn't possible with the stay-at-home order.
