LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- The Day of the Dead is being celebrated in Long Beach's Museum of Latin American Art.

"The early people felt that death was not the end of life, it was the beginning of the new phase and so that that concept carries over to today, to be remembered. Then you don't suffer the worst death of all and that's to be forgotten," educator Ofelia Esparza said.

The museum will honor Hispanic women through various art pieces displayed during the exhibit.
