Hundreds of cyclists peddled for hours on stationary bikes for cancer research at the Manhattan Beach Pier Sunday morning.

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Hundreds of cyclists peddled for hours on stationary bikes for cancer research at the Manhattan Beach Pier Sunday morning.

The fourth annual Tour de Pier cycling fundraiser raised over $1 million for three cancer charities.

The five-hour-long event featured hundreds of stationary bikes ridden by over 1,000 participants.

The event kicked off at 8:15 a.m. and expected to end with an awards ceremony at 1:30 p.m.
