LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- Friends, family and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department gathered Friday to honor slain Sgt. Steve Owen on the second anniversary of his death.
Owen was shot and killed while investigating a burglary in Lancaster.
Two years after his death, Owen's family says the Antelope Valley community is still showing them the love and support they gave them right after Owen died.
