The family and friends of a Los Angeles City Fire Department helicopter pilot, who survived a horrific crash in 1998, but suffered complications and recently died, are holding a memorial service for him.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KABC) -- A Los Angeles City Fire Department helicopter pilot survived a horrific crash in 1998, but he suffered complications from his injuries.

Steven Robinson recently died of a seizure as a result of those complications, and his family and fellow firefighters are holding a memorial service for him.
