REDONDO BEACH, Calif. -- The Redondo Beach Leadership Class of 2017 is trying to raise money to install lights along the north end of the city's bike path.

The group said it's looking to get 12 new solar-powered LED lights at a cost of around $15,000. Councilmember John Gran was the first person to donate.

The new lights will only cover the north end of the bike path, and plans to illuminate the entire path haven't been finalized.
