South Los Angeles shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One man was killed and another injured in a shooting in South Los Angeles Sunday afternoon, police said.

The incident was reported near a car wash in the 1700 block of W. Florence Avenue at about 12:48 p.m.

Police say a man in his 20s approached a crowd and opened fire.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and a second victim was transported to California Hospital in stable condition. He was shot in his face and chest. Both were in their 20s.

The suspect fled in a white vehicle, possibly a Kia or Scion.
