SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A search is underway for whoever shot and injured three people in South Los Angeles on Sunday night.

Police received word of the incident shortly before 8 p.m. Authorities said the three victims were found near South Central Avenue and East Century Boulevard.

Investigators said the actual shooting may have taken place at East 81st Street and South Central Avenue.

At the time of the report, police said the three victims were conscious and breathing, but an update on their conditions was not immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing. So far, a motive is not known, and there is no description of the suspect or suspects.
