Dodgers fan celebrates with cannonball in D-Backs' pool
An exuberant Dodgers fan celebrated the team's NLDS win with a cannonball in the Diamondbacks' stadium pool.

PHOENIX (KABC) -- In 2013, when the Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks to clinch the National League West, LA players jumped in the Arizona stadium's pool to celebrate.

The D-Backs and their fans thought the move was disrespectful to the home team, and manager Dave Roberts said before this week's win his players wouldn't celebrate in the pool.

And just to make sure, the Diamondbacks had officers on horseback guarding the swimming area at Chase Field.

But that didn't stop one Dodgers fan, who had apparently bought a ticket to the pool area for Monday's National League Division Series game 3 in Arizona.

Wearing a Fernando Valenzuela jersey, he celebrated in front of Arizona fans with a big splashy cannonball in the pool after reliever Kenley Jansen recorded the final out.

In 2013, the Dodgers celebrated their postseason win over the Diamondbacks with a swim in the Arizona stadium's pool, a move the home team found disrespectful.

Monday's 3-1 victory advanced the Dodgers back to the National League Championship Series for the second straight year.

They will face either the Washington Nationals or Chicago Cubs when the series begins Saturday night at Dodger Stadium.
