You can call LaVar Ball a lot of things these days, and there never seems to be a dearth of colorful characterizations for the proud papa -- a troll, a tyrant, a raconteur. But what you can't call him is humorless.

Ball was in on the joke in this Father's Day-themed Foot Locker commercial set to run during next week's NBA draft, which features draft hopefuls De'Aaron Fox, Jayson Tatum,Jonathan Isaacand Ball's son,Lonzo Ball, talking basketball memories with their dads growing up.

In the commercial, Lonzo interrupts passionate stories from Fox, Tatum and Isaac of their fond times with their fathers to share some of his less-than-flattering memories of LaVar.

Such as the first time LaVar berated Lonzo's high school coach in front of a crowd for not getting Lonzo enough touches. Or the time LaVar went on First Take and engaged in a shouting match with host Stephen A. Smith about how his son is already better than Stephen Curry.

"My dad and I both love the humor of the spot, and I'm glad I got to have a little fun around the topic before going to the league," Lonzo Ball said in a news release provided by Foot Locker.

The spot will air nationally on ESPN during the live broadcast of the NBA draft on June 22 and is part of Foot Locker's "Approved" platform, created by worldwide agency BBDO.
