SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was critically injured after being shot during an altercation with an FBI agent Monday morning in Sun Valley, authorities said.

The identity of the wounded person was not immediately disclosed, but an FBI spokesperson said authorities were serving a search warrant at a home around 5:40 a.m. in the 10300 block of Horse Haven Street.

At some point, the man and an FBI agent got into an altercation and the agent discharged his or her weapon.

The injured man was transported to a hospital. Neighbors said they saw two other people being taken from the home by authorities.

Neighbors also said the behavior exhibited by the man who had lived alone in the home for about a year raised concerns.

No officer or agent was injured in the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.
