Suspect injured in Lake Forest deputy-involved shooting

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect has been injured in a deputy-involved shooting in Lake Forest Friday night.

The shooting happened in the area of Kathy Avenue and Hoi Circle, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The shooting began as a call of a suspicious person with a weapon at a Walmart store in Foothill Ranch, officials said.

The suspect's condition was not immediately known. No deputies were injured in the shooting.
