MONTEBELLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A 23-year-old domestic violence suspect who escaped from a hospital in Montebello early Saturday has turned himself in to police.
The suspect, identified as Conrado Ferrer, escaped from Beverly Hospital, where he was undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. Police say he was wearing only a patient gown.
The suspect was taken to the hospital after making suicidal statements following a domestic dispute. Police say Ferrer bit his girlfriend's finger, pushed her to the ground and attempted to choke her.
