GORMAN, Calif. (KABC) -- A Greyhound bus caught fire on the southbound 5 Freeway in the Gorman area Tuesday morning, forcing passengers to evacuate.

The bus caught fire just before the 138 Freeway at about 5:30 a.m. The driver and 15 passengers quickly exited the bus before flames spread from the engine compartment to the rest of the bus.

The fire sparked a small grass fire next to the freeway, but firefighters were able to quickly extinguish flames.

Another Greyhound bus was sent to pick up the passengers for rest of their trip. No injuries were reported.
