Taxi driver charged with DUI after crashing into Tustin liquor store

TUSTIN, Calif. (KABC) -- A taxi smashed into a Tustin liquor store, and police say the driver was under the influence.

The crash occurred near Newport and Mitchell avenues around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The taxi had no passengers, and no one inside the liquor store was hurt.

The taxi also crashed into another car outside the store with someone inside. That person wasn't injured either, Tustin police said.

Police arrested the taxi driver, described as approximately 50 years old, on suspicion of driving under the influence.
