VIDEO: Lifeguard attacked at Venice Pier poured water on suspects
VENICE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- New video reveals that the Los Angeles County lifeguard attacked at Venice Pier last week had poured a bucket of water on a man and woman from his tower.
The lifeguard told fellow lifeguards that the suspects flicked a cigarette at his tower last Thursday. Video shows the lifeguard verbally arguing with a woman and a man, before grabbing a bucket and pouring water on them.
Moments later, a surfer caught two men and a woman attacking the lifeguard in another video.

Three suspects were arrested. The lifeguard suffered minor injuries.
"We are currently working with LAPD, gathering all the information regarding this particular incident. Safety and security on all of our beaches remains our main priority," Los Angeles County lifeguards released in a statement.
