VENTURA, Calif. (KABC) -- Ventura County has entered California's less-restrictive red tier, and local businesses hit hard by the pandemic are hoping customers will help them recover.
"I think it's been really hard for a lot of businesses. I just hope that everybody is responsible about it and just cares about everybody else, wear your mask," said Ventura resident Anthony Kurtz.
While many people who spoke to Eyewitness News were glad to see Ventura County move into the red tier, some raised concern about sliding back into the purple tier given that indoor dining, movie theaters and gyms can reopen at limited capacity.
And with St. Patrick's Day landing on Wednesday, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office is asking revelers to celebrate responsibly.
