HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Actor Vince Vaughn pressed his hands and feet into cement in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday.
Vaughn is the 280th star to be honored with cemented prints.
"I share this with all of you, all the fans, and the people that throughout the years have given me a chance to participate and make a living doing something that I love very much," Vaughn said.
Vaughn and his family were joined at the ceremony by Jon Favreau, with whom Vaughn starred in "Swingers," and James Marsden, who appears in Vaughn's latest movie "Unfinished Business."
"I'm incredibly proud of my friend, a brother, a coworker, somebody who never fails to make me laugh, both on screen and off camera," Vaughn said.
A Chicago native, the 6-foot-5 Vaughn made his film debut with a small part in "Rudy," where he first met Favreau.
"A guy who's gone just from being an actor in smaller roles to a movie star in both dramas and comedies, and I was lucky enough to have a backstage seat for the whole journey," Favreau said.
Other films credits for the 44-year-old actor include "Starsky & Hutch," "Wedding Crashers," "Fred Claus," "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" and "The Break-Up." He also made a memorable cameo appearance in "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" and its sequel.
"Unfinished Business" opens in theaters on Friday.
