Born and raised in Watts, Tyrese talks change

WATTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson feels blessed to have been born and raised in Watts.

He feels the history there. He's seen the change there.

"I feel like everything about Watts has changed. We have a bigger voice. We have more respect, more integrity. It's more family-oriented. It's much safer than it used to be," Gibson said.

Fifty years after the Watts riots broke out, he talks to Entertainment Guru George Pennacchio about his mission to change the perceptions of the community in the video above.
