PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KABC) -- A 3.5 magnitude earthquake rattled desert communities east of Palm Springs on Sunday.
The quake hit at 2:07 p.m. about 10 miles north of Indio at a depth of 5 miles, according to the USGS.
Shaking could be felt near Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs and Joshua Tree National Park.
No significant damage was reported.
