COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Lightning struck trees and sparked fires on Monday, as an El Nino-powered storm rolled across the Southland.
Firefighters in Compton said they responded to a tree fire sparked by lightning around 6:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Eyewitness News viewer Rosie said she saw the fire break out in the 700 block of South Harris Avenue.
