MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- All lanes of Pacific Coast Highway reopened Sunday after a powerful storm caused mudslides and flooding.

PCH was closed from Broad Beach Road to the Ventura County line and at Kanan Dume Road between PCH and Mulholland Highway.

The level of water and debris quickly rose as heavy downpours happened in Ventura County and Malibu.

The mudflows crashed against trees and carried large boulders and debris through streets.
