Storm causes power outages across Southern California

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A spring storm knocked out power to thousands of people across Southern California.

Lightning strikes caused power outages to more than 7,500 customers in Bell and Commerce Thursday around 9 p.m.

On Friday morning, 1,000 customers remain without power. Southern California Edison says power should be fully restored between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Around 3,800 customers were also dealing with power outages in San Bernardino County caused by weather conditions.

Service was expected to be restored before noon.
