WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- There is a new, eco-friendly way to get around West Hollywood.

The city gave a preview of its new bike share program on Tuesday. WeHo Pedals will have GPS-enabled smart bikes for rent throughout the area, complete with LED lights, eight gears, cargo baskets and a lock.

The bikes can be rented 24/7 for $7 an hour, $25 a month or for an annual membership of $99 a year.

The program officially launches on Aug. 30.

The four bike station locations are:

  • West Hollywood City Hall, located at 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard
  • West Hollywood Park, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard
  • Santa Monica Boulevard at N. Crescent Heights Boulevard
  • Santa Monica Boulevard between Holloway Drive and N. Olive Drive
