"Wheel of Fortune" celebrates 7000 episodes

CULVER CITY (KABC) -- It was one giant celebration on the set of America's Game, "Wheel of Fortune." Pat Sajak has been spinning the wheel, and Vanna White turning letters for 7000 episodes! To mark the occasion, the staff all joined together for a big thank you, and a great big cake. Sajak says a big thank you also goes to the show's loyal fans.

"We've got people watching us with their kids, who used to watch with their grandparents," said Sajak. "We're into our third generation of viewers! They do treat us like we're part of the family, and that's a great spot to be in."

"Every day, you don't know what to expect," said White. "There's always something good and happy going on around here!"

The 7000-th episode of "Wheel of Fortune" will air on May 10th.
