Chase ends in PIT maneuver
A chase that began at the federal building in Westwood ended with a PIT maneuver in Manhattan Beach.

WEST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Federal agents and the CHP pursued a suspect in an SUV from the federal building in Westwood over the 405 Freeway to the South Bay Friday afternoon.

Police ended the chase with a PIT maneuver in Manhattan Beach.

The move spun out her vehicle and officers approached on the driver's side with guns drawn. After a brief conversation they took the woman into custody without resistance.

Federal agents and the CHP chased a reckless-driving suspect from the federal building in Westwood before stopping her with a PIT maneuver in Manhattan Beach.

The suspect was wanted for reckless driving near the federal building in Westwood on Wilshire Boulevard and she refused to yield to officers there.

Federal police pursued her as she fled onto the 405 Freeway and the CHP took over the chase.

After diverting to the 105 Freeway she exited and headed south on Sepulveda Boulevard into the South Bay area.

She drove into El Segundo and Manhattan Beach before she was stopped with the PIT maneuver.

The suspect was driving a white Kia SUV.
