EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A woman is in critical condition after being hit by an LADOT bus in East Los Angeles Wednesday night.

Authorities said the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Indiana Street. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported the woman was found under the bus, extracted and taken to a local hospital.

It was unclear what led to the crash.

The investigation was ongoing.
