VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The body of a woman was found in Van Nuys Monday morning, Los Angeles police said.
The woman's body was found inside a tent near Sepulveda Boulevard and Albers Street, authorities said.
The body was reported to emergency personnel around 9:45 a.m.
Investigators said the woman, described by coroner's officials as being in her 30s, appeared to be a transient.
The cause of her death was not immediately determined.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Division is handling the investigation. Homicide detectives were called to the scene.
